Legal Experience

Dion began his legal career as a law clerk for the United States District Court, Northern District of Mississippi, before The Honorable Neal Biggers before entering private practice in Oxford. His practice focus is on federal litigation within the areas of civil rights and employment litigation. He has represented Mississippi Public Universities in Section 1983, Title IX and Title VII claims. His practice with Purdie and Metz also includes general litigation and appellate work for the Mississippi Division of Medicaid, where he handles disputes with medical providers over reimbursement for care in hospitals and long-term care facilities.
